Performance optimization and monitoring more than 80 chains running in 3 regional production servers in different time zones causing numerous issues and SLA violation of data loading.
Diverse system with an array of interfaces which needed a global solution.

Our Approach

Proper night shifts were implemented to look into the running processes and record causes for error and performance degradation. Several incidents were raised to SAP and in collaboration implemented SAP NOTES to improve system performance. Many data flows and process chains were adjusted to bring the best performance.
Along with global competency center we developed a solution named PRIMSA to extract various department data and send them to DWH as XML messages. This was developed with runtime dynamic filters making it a global solution.
With the 3.5 authorizations becoming obsolete, the need was to migrate all roles to new analysis authorization concept. We provided offshore support to migrate over 800 roles in the regional systems and create new analysis authorizations.
Xcelsius, dashboards and analysis edition for Microsoft office were used to deploy visually appealing interactive reports to the end users.
We engaged and work closely with another consulting company to prepare the BW system for the migration into BW on HANA and later in issue resolution while data loading.
Couple of pilot projects were done in the HR and Quality area to test new HANA developments and benefits of BW on HANA migration.

There were substantial effort saving, added flexibility and improved performance.
All unique complex requirements were prototyped and well documented for reference.
First level support wing for data related issues and authorizations for APAC users.
Migrated all finance queries into BO analysis edition for office with appropriate templates thus enabling selfservice BI.
Prototype developments with Xcelsius still in ramp up mode helped created good optimized designs for reports on newer versions.
